Summer is Here!

Summer is finally here and we are loving every second of it.

Jane likes to "garden." Now that our neighbor put plants in the planter boxes we are working on not ruining Megan's hard work.

This is what our front steps normally look like. I love how much Jane enjoys drawing already.

Our neighborhood has Porch Fest every summer where tons of bands play on people's porches all throughout the day. Jane LOVED it!

This little girl could swing for hours a day if I let her. Our little adrenaline junkie can never go high enough!

We love Shaker Lake and it's just minutes away from our house. We like to go for walks around the lake, but without the stroller we never seem to get very far. :)

And the bump at 18 weeks. We have lots of exciting things to look forward to in the next few weeks: Jeff finishing his surgery rotation, starting the LAST year of medial school, our sixth anniversary, finding out the gender of the baby, and going on a six week long vacation to Seattle and Utah.

Big News!

For those of you that don't already know, we are going to have a baby this November! We are so excited for Jane to have a little brother or sister. We did a photo shoot of her wearing her big sister shirt and I love how they turned out. She is growing up so fast! Here are a few of my favorites.

And this is how I told Jeff I was pregnant. He looked at it and said, "Are you serious?" He was very excited to say the least.

I went in for an early ultrasound since they were having a hard time finding a heart beat at 10 weeks. It was so fun to see the baby wiggling around and definitely made it seem more real.

Only a few more weeks until we find out the gender. Here's the first baby bump picture at 16 weeks. I already feel huge!

Jane's 2nd Birthday

We had so much fun with Jeff's parents in town. They were able to come during Jane's birthday weekend. Even though Jeff didn't have any days off, he was on his surgery rotation the entire time they were here, we still made time to party.

It's amazing how much she has grown in one year! And yes that is the same dress. I love it too much to pack it away.

Shhh! Looking for squirrels. :)

Whoever invented the Aquadoodle deserves a medal. Drawing with water?! Now I don't have to worry about Jane drawing on the walls or sucking on markers.

We aren't huge fans of cake around here, but we had to have a birthday cake for Jane. So we made this lemon poppy seed cake and smothered it in cream cheese, vanilla bean, lemon zest frosting. It was SO good. Unfortunately ants discovered it after the party and we had to toss most of it. Now I'm just looking for another excuse to make cake...
