Five years ago on Pi Day, Jeff proposed. Yes, we realize how nerdy that sounds. I guess it makes it easy to remember because who doesn't like pie? This year we decided to enter a pie contest on instructables.com. With Jeff's mad cooking skills, and my love of making things pretty, we formed a great team. Take a look!
We worked on this pie for two days! Luckily when we make it again, it should be pretty easy since we don't need to measure everything out into pretty bowls and get step by step pictures. It turned out awesome though. I think the best part was the homemade marshmallow topping. I could eat that stuff by the spoonful. If you like it, give us a vote here.

Mom Test #1
I've officially passed the first of many mom tests: using my body as a human shield. Well, more like a human sponge with the amount of vomit I manged to soak up. My poor Jane had the stomach flu for the first time and I don't know who it traumatized more, me or her. What made matters worse was our washer couldn't handle all the small loads and kept shutting itself off. Luckily we didn't run out of towels and she is on the mend. It's amazing how your priorities change and what you can handle when you are a mom. I couldn't have done it without the help of Priesthood blessings, Pedialyte, and nice hot showers.
